Doing Business in ‘Espana’

Staying at NH Aravaca Aparthotel was a perfect pit stop for me whilst on my long and arduous journey across Spain. I have stayed in varying levels of accommodation throughout my visit, but this hotel with its easy access from the M-40 made reaching the nearby business district easy to access.

I had many meetings to attend to during my stay and returning back each evening to an NH hotel really gave me time to recuperate in style before the next laborious day. I am a sales man you see so often my presence is unwelcome in a board room, I am shunned and made to feel alien by the people I approach. Their often gormless expressions and cynical glares really get me down. I discovered quite quickly that persistence alongside politeness is key if you are to ever finally succeed in getting beneath the skin of these suited and booted professionals who seem automatically programmed to say no.

One of the reasons that I am working such long days at the moment is I really need to get 10 companies to sign on the dotted line as it were. If I can secure 10 deals in the next two weeks I can expect a £4,000 bonus which will really help go towards those ridiculously expensive curtains Joanne wants to buy. Why did I marry a woman with such expensive tastes! The glorious Spanish weather and local food doesn’t enable me to stay miserable for long though, I can just feel that tomorrow is going to be the day, I close a deal!
